Class of 2020

Emily Johnson

University of Redlands
Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies
Redlands Bulldogs
Emily grew up in a small town in northeastern Nevada. After graduation from High school she couldn’t wait to begin her adventure at The University of Redlands. She would be the 9th family member to attend the University. Emily began her journey in 2016. She was very shy but she jumped into college life. She was in the Redlands idol competition and won 3rd place. She was in the choir and enjoyed the annual concert the Feast of Lights. She frequently sang the national anthem at on campus sporting events. Emily became the sweet heart of her brother’s Fraternity Chi Sigma Chi. In her senior year she decided to try out for cheerleading. She majored in religious studies and her senior thesis was a film portraying the biblical story of Sarah and Hagar from the first personal female perspective. Emily does not have her future planned out as she is wanting to travel the world and see where it takes her. Her favorite quote, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Celebrate with her virtually by sharing some special words or your favorite memory together. #classof2020strong #quarantinegraduate
